My week in (Instagram) pictures.

Happy Thursday!

Mama’s Losin’ It

I'm linking up today to Mama Kat, and the prompt du jour is:

YOUR WEEK IN INSTAGRAM PHOTOS

Disclaimer:  Some of these pics are slightly older than one week.  But just slightly.  My blog.  My rules.

My black iris finally bloomed.  It was my Mama's favorite, and I wait anxiously for it every year.

SOMEBODY is ready for school to be out for the summer.  And I think Zachary agrees.

My boy got a reading award.  I have never been quite so proud.  My master plan has paid off. Big time.

I've been working on this project forever.

It's finally finished.  I love it so much.

Then this happened.  I am equal parts thrilled and terrified.

First day of first grade vs. last day of first grade.  The baby face is all but gone :(

All the firsts and lasts up till now.  I'm going to go cry now.

The boys were wetter (and probably cleaner) than the car when we were done.  But everybody had fun, and we even took Hugh for a ride around the block to show him off when he was nice and shiny.

On Tuesday, we spent the afternoon with some friends playing air hockey,

playing lazer tag,

and eating our body weight in sugary foods.  Good times were had be those of us under four feet tall.

Haircuts all around!  We are living large here.  They will be un-shaggy for approximately 2.3 days.

And that's my week.  If you like what you see here, I'm mjaj74 on Instagram.  Come follow me, and shout out your user name in the comments so I can follow you too!

    1. Janet, my shed is starting to look like it was designed by 4th grade girls, and I LOVE it ;) You can barely see it in this pic, but in the front I've made some adorable little mushrooms out of upside down bowls. Sometimes I just go outside and walk all around it until I feel happy again. My next project for it is to make some huge dragonflies out of table legs and ceiling fan blades that I saw on Pinterest.

  6. Those before and after shots are great! And that black iris is amazing. We've been iris hunting all over town and have yet to see a black one. :-)

    1. Thank you! I love that iris SO much. It always blooms a couple weeks later than the rest of them, and every year I'm afraid it's not going to bloom. So far, it hasn't disappointed me though.

  7. I love irises! I always wish I had them in the spring, but come fall, when it's time to plant bulbs, I lose my enthusiasm.

And is there anything much cuter than a boy with his front tooth missing? Especially one who's thrilled it's the last day of school?

    1. That missing tooth just kills me, and he lisps a little now, which is so cute it occasionally even gets him out of trouble. Thanks for dropping by!

    1. I feel certain they would be happy to wash your car, where wash your car = spray each other with the water hose while NEAR your car ;) Thanks for dropping by!

    1. Thanks! I love my shed (and my car, of course) more than I should love an inanimate object. :)
