Peanut Butter S'Mores Stacks

My kiddos love s'mores.

Of course.  What's not to love about s'mores?

We make them in the microwave sometimes, but the clean-up, oh, the clean-up...  I'm usually scrubbing melted chocolate and marshmallow goo from the ceiling fans, from the couch cushions, and from little boys' hair for day.

So now I make these instead.  They have all the taste of s'mores, without the mess.  And what's the only thing that could possibly make s'mores taste better?   Peanut butter, of course.

WHAT YOU NEED:

2 cups Golden Grahams cereal
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter chips OR 1/3 cup peanut butter

WHAT YOU DO:

Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter/peanut butter chips in a large bowl in the microwave.  Heat in 30 second increments, stirring between, until fully melted.

Stir the cereal and marshmallows into the chocolate/peanut butter mixture, then spoon heaping tablespoons onto waxed paper to cool and harden.  After they are hard, store them in an airtight container.

You can even eat them for breakfast, you know.  They ARE made out of cereal.
